The earth is a magical place. It reminds me of God, our Creator….
Isn’t He a magician? His words became flesh. He spoke Light and Life…
“My own hand laid the foundations of the earth, and my right hand spread out the heavens; when I summon them, they all stand up together.” Isaiah 48:13
He called things that were not and they came to be…
“As it is written, ‘I have made you the father of many nations.’ Abraham acted in faith when he stood in the presence of God, who gives life to the dead and calls into existence things that don’t yet exist.” Romans 4:17
It’s easy to miss it. The power we have been given as Christians, as followers of Jesus. We are walking around, us, spirits, walking around! Yet so many, yes even those who claim salvation, are dead. Spiritually, physically, emotionally DEAD. Numb to see, feel, taste, hear, rejecting the forgiveness God gives freely because we choose not to forgive others…or ourselves. It’s a journey to get to that place of death. Some chose the road, others had their path chosen for them. It’s time to stop blaming anyone for where you are on the road. It’s time to step forward in forgiveness and faith.
Stop. Turn off the TV, the phone, the noise. Be quiet. Listen.
Close your eyes to hear. Think to feel. What on earth is God using to reach you now. If He could speak the galaxy’s existence into being, He can speak to you. He can use raindrops on your window to say ‘I love you’. Or a child’s laugh to say ‘I haven’t forgotten about you’. Listen. Just be and just feel.
Begin with this moment of solitude. No words or prayerful cries needed to know our Creator.
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” Psalm 34:18
He will find you and meet you exactly where you are. He is everywhere. We definitely can’t hide but He longs for us to hide in Him, to be our refuge. That is inconceivable…a God that is so near and personal we can come to anytime, anyplace. Who knows us more than we know ourselves. I just hope this message (which has so many messages within) will inspire you to not give up on God, to have hope, wait and let Him begin His work in you. God’s work will be revealed in our everyday moments if we begin to look.
