Have you ever had an unplanned moment when something entered your mind and your whole outlook changed?
I did while flying a kite.
I was out with my parents and daughter, flying a new kite for the first time. After awhile, they left me with the kite, alone in the windy field hanging on to the end of the string, the kite in the clouds.
I let the whole string out and the kite sailed happily in the gray sky.
Then… God Himself spoke to my spirit, internally, that I was going to be ok.
I was still feeling the ache in my abdomen. I knew I wasn’t cured. But I was almost healed.
The string was my faith and at the end of it, my healing…the kite in the sky.
I learned from flying a kite to hold on to your faith, the string – at the end of it is your healing. Bring it in, a little at a time. I had the whole string out and it took longer than expected to reel it in. Physically, I’m still reeling. But God doesn’t leave us alone, he stretches our faith, grows it, but never allows the string to be broken.
You’re going to be ok :)
